Pre-M v106 feedback & bugs

Hopefully the last or second to last Pre-M before Market Garden is a go.

New stuff:
gliders for brits, now with roughly balanced loadout/cost
smokeshells for mortars and howitzers

Loads of fixes/improvements on many fronts by the usual suspects (tobi, flozi, zerg, yuri, neddie, in no particular order)

Posted 1.06, 1.05 had some whoopsies.

Looks like 1.06 has some whoopsies as well, or something weird is happening with how 1.06 is interacting with its depend file, 0.80; (bugs that are fixed in 1.06 but not in 0.80 are manifesting in 1.06).

  • Air doesn’t work (works in SVN, is this what you are referring to Nemo?)
  • Crudemenu volume slider can go out of range.
  • [color=green]FIXED Crash in areaattack:
LuaRules::RunCallIn: error = 2, CommandFallback, [string "LuaRules/Gadgets/cmd_areaattack.lua"]:49: attempt to perform arithmetic on field '?' (a nil value)
  • Some don’t like the “whiny sound” that is played when game starts
  • [color=green]FIXED Mortars don’t fire on enemy units, they just walk towards them when you give direct attack order? (force fire on ground works fine)
  • Dead bodies just disappear instead of fading out / moving underground.

Yeah Tobi, the aircraft gadget failure is what I was referring to.

Whiny sound? The sound of flags being captured?

Yeah it appears he means that one :slight_smile:
